Pop Art Icons is the website of Bristol artist Paul Dean.

I paint in a contemporary pop art style using acrylics on box canvas depicting people I consider to be icons of rock music, film, TV, and later on when time allows, cars.

I have a passion for the subject matter that I paint and feel a connection with each image and hope other people will connect with the images I produce.
It's very satisfying when other people like my art enough to buy the painting and I take it as a compliment.

I am not a full time artist but paint as often as possible. Because I don't paint full time for a living, I am able to sell my paintings for what I believe to be very affordable price.

I paint because I enjoy it and would never want it to become a chore. For this reason I never paint the same thing twice, so each painting is a one off original of an icon or an iconic scene from a cult film that I love and admire and it will never be repeated by me. I am quite happy to paint the same person more than once but not the same picture.

So, if you buy one of my paintings you can be sure you own the only one like it. Definitely a limited edition!
